Why choose Online Learning?

This is my first blog post, I have selected one important question to consider. What are the advantages for Online Learning? You may be wondering if it works or is as good as being in a classroom environment. Most people opt for Online learning as it is more convenient and flexible, it also allows you to find and select the teacher which best suits your requirements.

By offering Computer Science and ICT tuition online, there are many learning benefits, especially with these subjects as they will be using the computer for the lesson which is the main component of these tow IGCSE & GCSE courses.

Some of the advantages of online learning are:

• Flexibility to learn from anywhere with an internet connection

• A wider range of tutors to choose from online

• Ability to start tuition immediately

• No travel costs

• Ability to select the best prices by comparing

• Gain more confidence with technical skills.

Although it is important to understand the advantages of online learning, to balance this out, here are some of the disadvantages of online learning are:

• Motivation and Self Discipline are required from the student for the learning to be effective

• Requires a good internet connection for video conferencing

I always recommend the students have a clean desk for the best online learning environment. I also encourage good file and folder management for organising their files on the computer. I offer this as part of the training.

Overall, online learning is beneficial in many ways, however, there may be limitations with the available technology or internet connection for the best learning environment.
